Iška is a settlement in the valley of the upper flow of the river Iška in the Ig municipality in central Slovenia. The entire municipality is part of the traditional region of Inner Carniola and is now included in the Central Slovenia statistical region.[2]
The local church, built on the right bank of the river in the centre of the settlement, is dedicated to Saint Gertrude (Slovene: Sveta Jerdt) and belongs to the Ig parish. It dates to the 18th century.[3]
